Popcorn information

Hi Tiger Den parents,

It's your Den Leaders again with MORE info about the popcorn sales : ) Several great questions have come up, so I thought I should answer for everyone.

HOW DO I GET MY ORDERS IN?

At this point, your Tiger has been out working the neighborhood -- and maybe even the halls and cubicles at work -- and has lots of popcorn orders. So, how do you place the orders?

In order to place the orders, all you'll do is to turn in your order form to the Popcorn Kernel (name redacted) at the end of October. The order forms are due NO LATER THAN October 31, but they can be turned in earlier (e.g., at the October Pack meeting). The ordered product can be picked up (and delivered by your Tiger) on November 14. You
may want to review my email message "Scouting Popcorn Sale" on September 25 -- see especially slide 8 of the attachment for key dates.

It's important that the order forms turned in ONLY indicate product that needs to be ordered for delivery. If you've sold your show-and-sell product, keep track of that separately. (If you need a "clean" order sheet, please see the PDF attached to my email "Even more popcorn info" sent on September 29.)

WHAT DO I DO WITH SHOW-AND-SELL PRODUCT THAT WE HAVE NOT SOLD?

At this point, your Tiger has been out selling but has tapped out the market in your neighborhood. You have some product left over. So, what do you do with it?

First, let me say that show-and-sell product is YOUR responsibility : ) When the Popcorn Kernel or I gave you the product, we made careful notes about what you took. That serves as a contract between you and either the Kernel or me. Whatever you do, do NOT turn in or give product to ANYONE other than the Kernel or me.

You SHOULD turn in your money and unsold product to the Kernel or me. We will "check" you back in and make sure that your record adds up -- namely, that the combination of product and money that you turn in matches the value of the product checked out to you.

A good time to check in unsold product would be just before our Den sales events (at the Tri Delt house and Lowe's Foods). That way, we can use that product during the sales.

I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any questions.

Cheers,
Your Den Leaders
